Montana Issues Vapor Intrusion Guidance
The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has issued Vapor Intrusion Guidance. The Guidance can be found at:


Colorado Releases Updated Indoor Air Screening Levels
On March 12, 2012 the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment released new indoor air screening levels for 22 VOCs, including new values for PCE reflecting the new EPA IRIS toxicity. The new screening levels apply for dry cleaner and other sites. They supercede previous interim risk management values for PCE and TCE. This document can be found at:


Battelle Conference in Monterey, May 2012
The Battelle Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated & Recalcitrant Compounds will take place May 21-24 in Monterey, California. Several vapor intrusion session are scheduled as well as a session on compound specific isotope analysis. The preliminary program is on the website. Information is available at:


Air & Waste Management Association Vapor Intrusion Conference
The sixth AWMA conference on Vapor Intrusion will be held in Denver, Colorado October 3-4, 2012. The abstract deadline is April 2. Information is available at:


EPA issues Technical Documents in support of Final Vapor Intrusion Guidance
EPA OSWER has posted three new technical documents in support of the final Vapor Intrusion Guidance to the website. These include the final Residential Background Indoor Air document, the final Conceptual Model Scenarios document and an updated Evaluation of Attenuation Factors for Chlorinated VOCs in Residential Buildings based on the EPA database.
